SJS FURNITURE

This company design and manufacture superb quality furniture made from mangowood, as well as water hyacinth and wonderful interior pots. The timber is felled after its ‘fruiting life’ and a new tree planted in its place. The factory is based in Java where they have total control over the cutting of the wood, its drying process as well as its manufacture. All the staff in Java are paid higher wages than the level set by local government rates, and are given paid holiday. They are also offered medical and pension schemes for them and their families.
