At The Living Rooms we care about everyone's tomorrows.
We provide a range of high quality, affordable, fair and ethically sourced beautiful furniture and gifts for those who also care.
We define ‘our type of’ supplier & products using the following criteria:
We want to source products which are made using materials that are reclaimed, recycled, or otherwise ethically sourced, and produced in a sustainable manner.
We want these products to have been produced in a non-exploitative way that respects those making them and their environment.
We believe in the fair trade principles, of respect for the environment, with producers being paid at least a living wage and helps with their right to decent living conditions.
We believe everyone should have access to clean water, at least basic medical facilities, and education on an equal basis. This is regardless of colour, crede, religion, gender and sexual biais.
These are the principles that are applied to our overseas suppliers. The majority of our suppliers of overseas products are British Association of Fair Trade Shops registered Importers.
In addition, we are looking to source craft made products from local producers. By doing this we are helping to promote small craft based businesses, and offering our customers additional ranges of unique invidivual products.
